What is GiveSTL Day?

Give STL Day is a 24-hour, online giving event organized by the St. Louis Community Foundation to grow philanthropy in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

The minimum donation is $10 and the maximum is $100,000. Prize money will be made available to amplify charitable donations, making it beneficial to nonprofits to encourage donations on this day. The ultimate goal is to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to support the work of local nonprofit organizations.

Donor Information

How can I make a donation?
Using your credit card, you can donate to any nonprofit that has registered to participate. Participating nonprofits will have a donation page where you can choose the amount you want to donate. Donations begin at $10 and the maximum is $100,000.

Can I give to more than one organization?
Yes, you may make multiple donations to one or more nonprofit from the givestlday.org homepage on May 1. In fact, it’s very easy to do so.

What are the minimum and maximum donation amounts?
The minimum donation amount is $10. The maximum donation is $100,000. All gifts made on givestlday.org are non-refundable.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
100% of the donation qualifies as a charitable gift. You will immediately receive an email confirming the deduction from the St. Louis Community Foundation.

Please save this email for your records. By selecting a specific charity to receive your donation, your gift is restricted for that charity, and it will not be given to any other charity.

How much of my donation goes to the nonprofit?
The St. Louis Community Foundation does not keep any portion of your gift.

Can I schedule my gift in advance?
Yes! Visit the website if you would like to pre-schedule your gift.

Is there a benefit to donating ON GiveSTL Day?
Yes — there are certain hours called “Power Hours” with certain incentives and matches associated for all donations given at that time. Those donations are potentially worth a bit more for the nonprofit, and pre-scheduled donations do not count toward these Power Hour incentives. Power Hours for 2020 are as follows:
6-7am, 9-10am, 12-1pm, 6-7pm, and 10-11pm
