WHAT IS THE YOUNG FRIENDS COUNCIL?
YFC is a diverse group of emerging leaders between the ages of 21 and 40 who are dedicated to supporting the mission of Home Sweet Home. YFC will provide leadership and support for fundraising efforts, volunteer recruitment, and increase the awareness of Home Sweet Home in our community.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Home Sweet Home’s Young Friends Council asks members to complete an annual commitment form which provides the opportunity to “choose your own adventure” and commit to a number of events (5-15 suggested per year) and financial donations to Home Sweet Home ($5-$15 per month, or an amount of your choosing) for 2023. While the signup for founding members is closed, you can still complete the annual commitment form at any time to join YFC!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING?
By becoming a Young Friend, you will meet other passionate young people, get involved in an amazing nonprofit, and give back to the St. Louis Community. This includes:

- educational programming
- a connection to Home Sweet Home as a larger organization

First Saturday Volunteer Events
Join YFC to volunteer in the Home Sweet Home warehouse every First Saturday! If you haven’t volunteered with HSH before, you will also have the opportunity to participate in volunteer training. Young people interested in HSH or YFC are welcome to join us to learn more!
Where: 10 Sunnen Drive, Maplewood, MO 63143
When: First Saturday of the Month at 9am; volunteering is expected to wrap up between 11am and 12pm

Young Friends Council Happy Hour
YFC is excited to host their first happy hour of 2024! Join us at Urban Chestnut on February 8th to socialize, learn more about YFC and Home Sweet Home.
