Phased Reopening in Response to COVID-19
All plans are tentative and will be adjusted based on conditions in the community.
Prepare & Communicate
- Started June 1 and continues.
- Limited staff will work in the warehouse.
- Modifications to workspace will be made to set up increased safety measures.
- New guidelines and procedures will be communicated to partner agencies and staff will assess client needs so deliveries can start in next step.
Deliver & Make Space
- Completed June 8.
- Staff begins furniture deliveries.
- This gets clients much-needed items and frees space in the warehouse.
- Space is organized so newly donated items, when permitted, will have space for 7-day quarantine.
CURRENT STAGE Accept Limited Donations
- Thursdays and Fridays only, starting June 18 and 19. 9am – 2pm at the Home Sweet Home Loading Dock. Review items we can and cannot accept before donating. Please wear masks and have all items packed and easily accessible for Home Sweet Home staff to retrieve from vehicle.
- New items must be quarantined for 7 days, so donations will be accepted on a limited basis.
- Pickups will be OUTSIDE ONLY and staff will be available on specific days during set hours (see above) to accept drop off donations.
Limited Reopening
This is the hardest to define at this point but we hope it allows for volunteers and clients to access the warehouse in some (even if limited) capacity.
Resume full, open procedures
Dependent upon success and safety of other steps. We hope to get here as soon as possible!
